Your role as a Maintenance Technician

Key responsibilities:

Maintenance Technician
Wage: Maintenance Technician- starting rate $27.25 - $35.55

Safety Requirements:
This position is considered a Safety Sensitive position.

What you will be doing:
Ensuring all equipment is maintained according to supplier guidelines.
This includes conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems (evaporators and condensers), fire protection, freezer doors, pallet-handling equipment, dock doors and other mechanical systems
Performing planned preventative maintenance and repairs in a timely and safe manner, with minimal impact to normal operations
Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace components in conveyors, cranes, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, and other mechanical systems
Troubleshoot and fix problems with control systems, low-voltage, and high-voltage electrical systems
Perform general facility maintenance including minor plumbing, General Electric, lighting, and minor building repairs.
Assist in other warehouse activities as required
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
Continually look for opportunities for improvement

What you will bring to the table:
High School Diploma
3 years of work experience in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
Working knowledge of mechanical systems preferred
Working knowledge of electrical systems preferred
Previous experience with PLCs is a plus, as is familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to work effectively in cold freezer environment
Must be able to climb 120ft ladder using safety harness
On occasion, will be required to wear a SCBA while working, requiring employee to be clean shaven.

In compliance with OSHA regulations and manufacturer safety specifications, fall protection equipment rated for a maximum capacity of 310 lbs (including body weight, cold gear, 30 lbs SCBA pack, and tools) must be used for tasks performed at height. Employees must be able to safely utilize this equipment. If an accommodation is required, it will be evaluated in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
