What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at NewCold?
NewCold is growing at a rapid pace, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Atlanta warehouse to effectively supervise the maintenance and sanitation team on site and provide a level of service in line with technical requirements. To undertake preventative maintenance and repairs to all relevant equipment on site, to help ensure the effective running of the warehouse function utilizing Fiix our CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) software. Direct and lead the maintenance teams daily functions. Conduct and assist in training and ongoing development opportunities. Maintain a professional culture on site and a commitment to Health & Safety, in line with company values.
What you will be doing:
Ensure all equipment is used and maintained in line with supplier’s guidelines. This will include conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, fire protection, freeze doors, oxygen reduction and other installations.
Create and plan Preventative Maintenance tasks or repairs to be carried out in a timely and safe manner, minimizing disruption to the operation.
Working within budgeted guidelines, and achieving agreed KPIs
Follow maintenance plan in the most efficient way to ensure minimal impact on the operation, but in a routine which achieves supplier guidelines as a minimum.
Direct and lead sanitation team to maintain site cleanliness and appearance.
Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Work closely with equipment suppliers and /or contractors to ensure proper training of maintenance technicians.
Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by Site manager.
Develop a understanding of all equipment and contracts on site including cooling systems, oxygen reduction, dock doors etc.
Commit to ongoing self and team development through internal and external resources.
Meet the physical demands of the Maintenance and Operator team roles.
All other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
8-10 years of maintenance experience
1-2 years of team lead or supervision experience
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of automated machinery (conveyors, automated cranes, palletizers, trolleys)
Electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical knowledge
Knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Associates degree preferred but not required
