Stick Welder (Field Construction) – Immediate Opening
Position Title: Stick Welder (Field Construction)
Location: Field-Based
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time
Probationary Period: 90 Days
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Stick Welder to join our field construction team. This position will assist with the erection of steel structures and related field welding activities. The ideal candidate must be able to work safely outdoors, travel to job sites as needed, and demonstrate proficiency with stick welding techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to weld using 7018 1/8” rod uphill
- Previous stick welding experience in a construction or industrial environment
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic instructions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience erecting structural steel
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- OSHA certification or other safety training
- Experience working at heights and using fall protection equipment
Responsibilities
- Perform stick welding on structural steel and related components
- Assist with steel erection and installation activities
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Follow project specifications and supervisor instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with project requirements
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
