Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is a reliable, professional, and compassionate individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and supporting a high-quality dental practice.
The Registered Dental Assistant will work closely with the doctor and dental team to ensure efficient patient care, excellent clinical outcomes, and a positive patient experience. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the doctor during all dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, implant, and surgical treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for patient care.
- Take and process dental X-rays, intraoral photos, and digital scans as needed.
- Perform duties within the scope of an RDA license, including coronal polishing, sealants, impressions, temporary restorations, and other expanded functions as applicable.
- Provide exceptional patient care by educating patients on treatment, procedures, and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Assist with treatment planning, case presentation, and clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the doctor, hygienists, front office team, and patients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and clinical workflows.
- Experience with restorative dentistry, crowns, implants, and digital dentistry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while being a supportive member of the dental team.
