-Newbury Comics, a pop culture and music retail chain, is looking for an energetic, outgoing, pop culture enthusiast to join our team as Store Manager at the Danbury Mall!

• Previous experience in a retail management position (required)
• Product knowledge and passion for the products we carry at Newbury Comics, such as Manga & anime, music & vinyl records, Pop Figures, graphic novels & comics, and TV/movie/video game products
• An interest in creating high quality display & visual presentations, strong problem-solving skills, and great attention to detail Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

The Store Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring a first-class retail operation.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

-Ensuring an amazing customer experience Setting priorities and overseeing all retail store operations
-Executing high quality visual presentation, cleanliness, and organization of store -----Focusing on loss prevention and cash control
-Maximizing social media through effective, dynamic messaging and high-quality brand presentation
-Guaranteeing the safety of our customers and staff
-Providing staff with coaching and constructive feedback in real time
-Recognizing and rewarding exceptional service and performance
-Managing problematic behavior effectively
-Hiring, training, and development of store personnel
-Fostering positive store morale Leading by example and setting high standard for positive attitude, drive, and motivation

Applicants must be available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including extended evening hours and weekends. You will have to be able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, climb ladders, move boxes that may weigh up to 30 pounds, and communicate (orally and in writing) in English.

Newbury Comics requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment. All new hires must be vaccinated before their start date. At this time, vaccinated is defined as two weeks after completing the Pfizer/or Moderna COVID 19 vaccine series or receiving the J & J COVID 19 vaccine.
