Oil Change NYSI Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, including draining oil, replacing oil filters, and refilling with the appropriate oil type.
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids (e.g., coolant, windshield washer fluid, brake fluid).
• Check and replace air filters and wiper blades as needed.
• Conduct tire pressure checks and rotations when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, explaining services to customers when necessary.
• Assist with basic car wash tasks (e.g., guiding vehicles onto the car wash conveyor) as needed.
• Document all work performed accurately on repair orders.
• Qualify for a inspectors license or have one already.
• Willingness or ability to perform more complex repairs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in oil changes or automotive maintenance preferred but not required (training provided).
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and oil change equipment effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
