Job Description: I. Position Summary: This team member is a partner of the Culinary Services team. Work with the NBOC team to meet all the needs of the members of New Bridge on the Charles. Accept and store daily food and beverages, as well as non-food and non-beverage products. Maintain the general storeroom, walk-in coolers, and main kitchen freezer, in accordance with general stocking practices and serve safe requirements. Rotate stock to ensure a consistent supply of wholesome, high-quality food and beverages. Issue and deliver food, beverage, and non-food products to departments in accordance with the requisition policies and procedures. Assist the purchasing clerk with all food and beverage-related inventories. II. Position Accountabilities: • Delegate daily tasks to purchasing stockers, ensuring completion of work, and filling in on duties for the purchasing clerk when they are not working. • Works with Purchasing Clerk, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs, to issue requisitions for groceries, meats, poultry, seafood, dairy, and produce promptly. • Works closely with outlet managers and healthcare food coordinators to order coffee, tea, paper goods, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages for daily operations and special functions in the absence of the purchasing clerk. • Responsible for the daily operations of the storeroom, coolers, and freezer in the main kitchen. Manages the receiving and placement of products in the assigned storeroom location in an organized manner. • Manage validation of product weight, quality, quantity ordered, invoice conflicts, substitutions, and storage organization. • Comply with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) for quick storage of all proteins, including Fresh Seafood, Meats, and Poultry. • Collection and submission of daily food and non-food supplier invoices. • Distribution of IL/AL UPS deliveries Monday through Friday. • Works with the purchasing clerk to ensure that all food, beverage, and general merchandise is updated and listed in master inventory sheets. • Works with the purchasing clerk to count the month-end inventories • Manage the daily requisition process, including the filling and issuing of all healthcare and outlet food and beverage requisitions required for daily production. • Managing and filling in the cooler temp logs and managing the cleaning schedule • Tracking daily invoices and aligning them to the order guilds • Clean all walk-in coolers and walk-in coolers, and dry storage areas, using standard NBOC cleaning products to adhere to health department standards. (Daily cleaning. Deep cleaning required a couple of full days per week) • Participate in purchasing team meetings • Perform other duties as requested by purchasing or special guest requests. Specific Job Knowledge The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. • High school graduate or equivalent preferred. • Must have at least one year of internal receiving experience within the culinary services department. • Must have a good knowledge of food, beverage, and food production procedures • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently to complete forms, inventories, read billings, invoices, and communicate with co-workers and suppliers. • Office Machines: operate calculator/10 key, copier, fax, telephone. • Basic computer skills, especially Outlook email. Grooming/Uniforms All employees are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and /or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process. NOTE: Newbridge on the Charles operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This position requires flexibility regarding scheduling, including the potential for working weekend shifts.
