What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detention Officer position at Newberry County Detention Center?
As a Detention Officer you will be responsible for the Care, Custody and Control of Inmates housed at the Newberry County Detention Center. Detention Officers will report to their Shift Sergeants and receive instruction from them on the day to day operations of the Detention Center. Job requirements are a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Valid SC Drivers License and must be able to pass a background check. County pays 100% of your Health Insurance. You are automatically enrolled in the Police Retirement Program.
