Floral Delivery Driver

Newberry Brothers Florist is looking for a responsible Delivery Driver. The Floral Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely transporting floral arrangements to customers, events, and businesses while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a friendly demeanor, good time management skills, and the ability to handle delicate products with care.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely Deliveries: Safely and efficiently deliver floral arrangements to various locations, ensuring timely arrival according to delivery schedules.
• Customer Service: Provide a positive delivery experience, including greeting customers courteously, answering basic questions, and handling special requests.
• Product Care: Handle all floral arrangements with the utmost care to maintain their quality and presentation. Ensure that items remain intact during transportation.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adjusting as needed based on traffic, weather, and delivery priorities.
• Inventory Management: Check deliveries for accuracy before departing from the store and confirm delivery upon arrival at each location.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular inspections of the delivery vehicle, report any issues, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and organized.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and any specific instructions provided by the customer or florist.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in delivery or customer service preferred.
• Ability to handle and transport delicate items with care.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of local delivery areas and GPS proficiency.
• Physical ability to load, unload, and carry floral arrangements (up to 40 pounds).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry flower arrangements, including loading and unloading.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
