Custodial Maintenance

Perform day-to-day activities of the maintenance/housekeeping department in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Essential Job functions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Maintain a functional, safe, and comfortable environment for the residents, visitors, and staff. The interior and exterior of the building shall be kept free of hazards and maintained in a clean orderly manner. All essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment shall be maintained in a safe operating condition at all times.

Perform day-to-day functions and specific tasks as assigned.

Assist with clean, wash, polish, sanitize, deodorize and disinfect all areas and items in the facility and residents' rooms including furnishings, fixtures, trash bins, windows, mirrors, floors, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, etc. Assist with floor care stripping, wax, buffing.

Use proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and procedures, ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, clearly marked with caution or safety signs as required. Follow Universal precautions and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices and promptly report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Director of Environmental Services.

Assist as need with resident and facility laundry promptly cleaned, dried sorted and delivered to floors.

Maintain resident confidentiality. Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Know and comply with residents' rights, promptly report all resident complaints, accidents and incidents to nursing staff.

**Must be reliable and be able to commute to location daily***

Must be at least 18 years of age

Working knowledge of proper cleaning techniques

Excellent customer service skills required

Ability to lift, reach, bend, twist, and carry without restrictions

Other Job Functions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

A. Administrative Duties:

Follow work and preventative maintenance schedules; report all incidents and accident to the Maintenance Supervisor; and co-operate with other departments when performing routine maintenance assignments.

B. Staff Development Duties:

Attend and participate in orientation, training, and in-service educational activities.

C. Equipment and Supply Duties:

Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment and supplies.

D. All Other Duties as Assigned:

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, pulling, the ability to distinguish smells, and the ability to remain calm under stress.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
