The Sales Training Manager at NewAge Industries will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and effectiveness of our sales team, distributors and end-users. You will play a critical role in developing a high-performing sales culture by ensuring that sales professionals and partners are equipped with the necessary knowledge, tools, and techniques to succeed in a competitive market. Your efforts will directly impact sales performance, customer satisfaction, and overall company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing development for the sales team, distributors and end-users, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
- Training Delivery:
- Conduct engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars using a variety of instructional methods, including e-learning, role-playing, and hands-on activities.
- Needs Assessment:
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify training needs and gaps in skills or knowledge, using data and feedback to continuously improve training initiatives.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and assess the impact on sales performance and productivity.
- Resource Development:
- Create training materials, including manuals, guides, presentations, and e-learning modules, to support the sales team’s ongoing education and development.
- Coaching and Mentoring:
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to reinforce training concepts and support their professional growth.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product management, and other departments to ensure training content aligns with company objectives and product offerings.
- Feedback and Improvement:
- Gather feedback from trainees and sales leadership to continuously refine and enhance training programs, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
- Industry Trends:
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure training programs are current and aligned with market demands.
- Generalized Corporate Training:
- Once the sales training platform and programs have been successfully implemented, this role could potentially expand to address the company’s general company training needs holistically and at the departmental level.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in sales training, sales management, or a related field, preferably in the [specific industry].
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs and materials.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
