What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Associate position at NewAge Industries Inc?
Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately accepting all products entering the building, confirming product integrity, and verifying actual product against packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, or other records.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Unload, unpack and inspect deliveries for overages, shortages and damage.
- Inspect each delivery against the appropriate document (packing lists, delivery receipts or other delivery document) before signing for them.
- Record receipts into the computer in a timely manner.
- Notify the Quality department of any products that need to be inspected and stage those products in the QC staging area.
- Put all incoming product away in a timely manner; update and maintain the bin location system.
- Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of RMA’S.
- Safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, Taylor Dunn’s and other warehouse equipment.
- Daily housekeeping of assigned areas.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 or more years’ warehouse experience
- Current or prior certification on fork and reach trucks required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- 2 years plus warehouse experience, preferably in receiving
- Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and documented procedures.
- Ability to understand basic inventory and stock procedures
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Teamwork and collaboration within department and with other departments
- Strong sense of urgency, customer focus; ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
