Summary:
AdvantaPure Business Development Representative (Single Use Technologies) works closely with other AdvantaPure team members both internal and external in supporting sales functions and opportunities with AdvantaPure Distributors, end-users, and OEM's. Also works closely with other AdvantaPure departments as the liaison between these departments and the customer using positive communication and cooperation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes sales process and develop new solutions for customers to increase sales
- Utilize CRM for account and opportunity management
- Follow company policies and procedures, takes ownership of requests
- Develop strong business relationship with our distributors and customers
- Develop and expand existing and new business
- Drive new sales opportunities with existing customers, positioning the company for success
- Understands the expectations, requirements, and nuances of each Customer/Dist/OEM, and excels in servicing them
- Become knowledgeable of the BioPharm industry including sing use products, the major suppliers and the components used in the industry
- Become knowledgeable of AP's competitors and their products and how AP and its products compare to them
- Responsible for tracking lost sales and new opportunities
- Communicates industry news or trends learned with the rest of the AP Sales Team
- Shares any internal knowledge learned with the rest of the AP Sales Team that may impact our Customers/Dist/OEMs
- Keeps the sales management team updated on all major events and issues
- Occasionally will be required to attend trade shows and exhibits that AP is taking part in
- Domestic travel to functions, trade shows, conferences, customers, and distributors, as required
- Prepares periodic sales reports per sales manager criteria, including forecasting and demand planning
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; technical degree preferred in science or business.
- 2-3 years sales experience, technical sales experience highly desirable
- Experience working with customers and sales channels from various countries and cultures a plus
- Experience with the Sandler sales system a plus

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must be able to work with fractions, decimals, and metric dimensions.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and dynamic variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
