Responsibilities
- This position's home location is in the Islandia office, and travels to Good Samaritan (W. Islip) and St. Charles (Port Jefferson) for Surgery
- Interviewing, examining, and diagnosing patients’ illnesses
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medications and suggesting lifestyle changes
- Suturing skills, first assisting in the OR
- Reviewing and maintaining patients’ medical histories and records and recording patients’ progress
- Educating and counseling patients and their families
- Researching the latest treatments, innovations, advances and trends in the bariatric field
- Clinical training experience and the willingness to complete 100 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain certification
- A state license to practice Medicine
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy
Qualifications
- State Licensing
- Board Certified in Physician Assistant
- ACLS & BLS Certification
- Infectious Disease Certified
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant
- Reliable Transportation and Ability to Travel to Required Locations
Salary : $130,000
