What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waterfront Manager position at New York Yacht Club?
RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB TASKS:
- Waterfront
- Oversee all waterfront activities including dock and mooring commissioning and de-commissioning, oversight of dockhands including hiring, scheduling and training, management of launches, management of routine dock and waterfront maintenance.
- Organizes USCG inspections of launches and drug consortium for all licensed employees.
- Produces weekly dock staff schedule at least two weeks in advance and monitors and adjusts as necessary.
- Produces and manages annual budget.
- Recommends any efficiencies in dock management and implements as directed.
- IC37 Program
- Develop the annual charter program dates, packages and pricing
- Coordinate dockage, towing contract and sail packages with appropriate vendors
- Develop boat pick-up and return schedule and oversee execution
- Oversee record keeping for all boat usage, repair and upgrades
- Oversees biannual inventory
- Monitors annual budget.
- Monitors annual yard contract and expenses.
- Manages any insurance claims and oversees damage billings.
- Oversees IC37 Fleet Operations Manager
- Sonar Fleet – Oversees and assists as needed with annual commissioning, de-commissioning, routine repairs and maintenance. Oversees annual budget.
- RC Signal Boat & RIBs – Oversees and assists as needed with annual commissioning, de-commissioning, routine repairs and maintenance. Oversees any launching, retrievals, and upgrades.
- Utilize the boat management software including data input, schedule set up and execution.
- Recommend and monitor phase replacement for all on water assets.
- Attends Waterfront Committee meetings and liaises with Chair.
