What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant position at New York Yacht Club?
New York Yacht Club-Harbour Court seeks qualified candidates
for our housekeeping team. This individual will gain hands-on experience
in a world-class yacht club featuring 20 hotel rooms and 8 apartments. The
individual will gain experience in the hotel side of housekeeping working with
a diverse team. You can expect full-time hours with shifts ranging from morning
to evening shifts.
Day to day responsibilities include:
-Laundry, ironing, folding and basic cleaning of all rooms
-Cleaning, vacuuming and dusting all common spaces including
trash removal
-Be on radio throughout shift for any guest needs
-Checking all areas of property including: main house,
carriage house apartments, waterfront building, sailing office and more
-Working with a diverse team to execute great teamwork
Qualifications:
-Housekeeping experience desired, but not necessary
-Strong communication skills
-Great attitude and able to work in a diverse team
-Able to lift 25 lbs.
-Great attitude
NYYC provides 2 meals a days and uniforms.
We will provide training to give all staff the tools they need to succeed.
