Associate Optometrist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a passion for providing exceptional optical services. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their ocular health thoroughly, provide comprehensive eye examinations, and offer tailored solutions to meet their optical needs. The Associate Optometrist will also collaborate with the owner optometrist to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations including eye health checks and refractions.
• Provide appropriate treatment plans, including prescribing corrective lenses and recommending further care when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient documentation and management of patient data.
• Educate patients on proper eye care practices, contact lens usage, and the importance of regular eye exams.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices, medical terminology, and relevant technologies.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state optometry license to practice.
• Strong knowledge of eye disease treatment and management.
• Proficient understanding of optical experience and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating strong independent decision-making skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
