Support Staff/Community Habilitation Support Needed! $25/hr (Commack, NY)

A loving family is seeking a dedicated, patient, and energetic support staff member to assist their 19-year-old son with autism. The role also involves sharing in the family’s love of good food and fun outings, creating a dynamic and rewarding experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Enjoy community adventures — gym sessions, hikes, beach visits, dining out at local spots, food/ grocery shopping.
- Help build life skills and independence at home and in the community.
- Create engaging, meaningful experiences together.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism (preferred).
- Energetic, reliable, compassionate and patient
- Paid through a third-party agency (background check & fingerprinting required).
Schedule (16 hrs/week):
- Wednesday: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay:
$25/hour
Total of 16 hrs/week at $25/hr = $400/week ($1,600/month)
Bonus Opportunity:
- 2 overnight sleepovers/month at $21/hr = $420 extra/month.
- Total earning potential: $2,020/month.
