Role Overview
The contractor will work on a project integrating existing Compliance Technology applications with position and trade data for fixed income products sourced from the Orchestrade platform via the PDX system. This position requires working extensively with SQL and C#/.NET, with expert-level SQL programming skills as a core requirement. Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred, and familiarity with financial products—particularly fixed income securities - is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage relational databases using T-SQL (e.g., MS SQL).
- Build server-side applications utilizing C#/.NET.
- Work with modern streaming, cloud, and containerized technologies, including Kafka, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Develop front-end applications using JavaScript, ReactJS, and related frameworks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with full-stack development experience and the following qualifications:
- Expert-level SQL knowledge and strong hands-on programming experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL).
- Proficiency in C#/.NET development.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
- Experience with streaming technologies, including Kafka.
- Understanding of architectural patterns and software development best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the financial domain, especially with fixed income products (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
