We are seeking a Databricks Service Lead to oversee day-to-day service operations, customer engagement, and platform stability within a cloud-based data environment. This role combines technical leadership with service management, ensuring high availability, performance, and continuous improvement of Databricks-based applications on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer engagement, service delivery, and escalation management
- Lead resolution of priority incidents and manage ticket queues to meet SLA commitments
- Oversee end-to-end service management including incident, problem, and change processes
- Drive automation and process optimization to improve platform stability and reduce manual effort
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance system performance
- Conduct root cause analysis, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Define and track KPIs to ensure service quality and operational excellence
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base assets
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years in service management, application support, or IT operations
- Strong experience with AWS Databricks, PySpark, Databricks job ingestion, and Scala
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices and service delivery management
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management)
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL v4 certification
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in cloud-native or enterprise data platforms
