Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in compliance with DEA regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
  • Conduct procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, and sterile processing as needed.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document medical records accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access and support patients remotely when appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, and disease management strategies.
  • Assist in discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to ensure comprehensive post-treatment support.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as an advanced practice provider in settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU, or urgent care environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care patients or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and medical documentation standards for billing purposes.
  • Familiarity with specialty areas such as infectious disease care, occupational health, post-acute care or behavioral health enhances your candidacy.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes along with physiology knowledge to inform clinical decision-making.
  • Prior involvement in clinical research projects or teaching hospital environments is advantageous.

Pay: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour
