What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at New York State Unified Court System?
The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Resource Coordinator I (Social Worker) in the 7th Judicial District Cayuga County Problem Solving Court. Resource Coordinators I report to the Chief Clerk and Project Director and work in problem solving parts and units throughout the Unified Court System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners and service providers.
- Acting as the courtroom representative for problem solving parts and units.
- Preparing written reports.
- Updating computer programs and maintain case files.
- Facilitating meetings and communication among stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach and building partnerships with community organizations that provide services for domestic violence victims and offenders.
- Managing the case management process to ensure appropriate reporting and monitoring for compliance with court orders and service referrals.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the treatment community and a general understanding of the criminal justice system and work experience and knowledge of the problem-solving courts is desirable.
Base Salary: $61,424
