Fiscal Specialist

The New York State Unified Court System Division of Financial Management is recruiting for one (1) position in the Analyst Series. The position will be filled in one of the following titles and will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the applicant selected: Principal Court Analyst or Senior Court Analyst.

This position supports procurement activities within the Fiscal Unit, including those related to the NYS Court Officer Academy and the UCS’s Court Facilities program. The role is responsible for guiding documents through the NYS Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) systems, including the Electronic Documents Submission System (EDSS) and the Statewide Financial System (SFS).

Key responsibilities:

• Auditing and entering purchase orders and vouchers.
• Responding to inquiries from vendors, OSC, and other OCA unit.
• Assisting with the Fiscal Help Desk.
• Collaborating with internal units to support operational needs.
• Providing additional support throughout the Fiscal Unit as needed.
• Phone coverage.
• Mail processing,
• Backup coverage.
• Other general administrative support.

Qualifications:

Principal Court Analyst: One year in the Senior Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Base Salary: $84,659

Senior Court Analyst: One year in the Court Analyst title; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Base Salary: $76,112
