What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer System Analyst position at New York State Unified Court System?
Computer Systems Analysts will be assigned to the Clean Slate Data Quality Team within the Division of Technology and Court Research’s Criminal Disposition Reporting (CDR) Unit.
With a focus on data quality, the selected candidates will gather business requirements and perform analyses to determine system, data, and reporting requirements. The analysts will document requirements, do data entry, perform system testing, and assist in the creation of official documentation.
The selected candidates will be working with court staff to resolve data inconsistencies and errors. Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
Experience with various testing methodologies (regression testing, automated testing, and comparing data outputs) is a plus. Knowledge of the business practices of criminal courts and their case management systems preferred but not required. Proficiency in SQL is required.
Senior Computer Systems Analyst - One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Computer Systems Analyst title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary: $84,659
Computer Systems Analyst - One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Computer Systems Analyst Trainee title or Computer Applications Programmer title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in computer programming or computer systems analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary: $64,971
