What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Assistant - New York County position at New York State Unified Court System?
The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Court Analyst that will be assigned to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Department of Supreme Court, New York County Civil Term and will be responsible for assisting the ADR Coordinator with management of the case management data system and coordination of the case management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing referrals and making mediator assignments.
- Monitoring data entry to ensure compliance with ADR rules, procedures and protocol.
- Advising case managers, judges, court staff, mediators, counsel and litigants on the interpretation of ADR policies, programs and procedures.
- Updating mediation case files.
- Assisting the ADRC with data analysis and reporting.
- Participating in training and orientation of new employees.
- Acting as liaison with judges, court staff, mediators, counsel and litigants.
- Conducting court research and vetting of cases for appropriateness for ADR.
- Coordinating with and assisting ADR part clerks in creating and maintaining ADR calendars.
- Assisting the ADR court attorneys with pre-mediation case preparation.
Qualifications: One year in the Assistant Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Base Salary: $64,971 $4,920 Location Pay
