Duties Description

• Responsible for collecting and removing trash and recycling in accordance with cleaning schedules.
• Cleans and removes hazardous or misplaced items, waste and spills and disposes and transports, or places such in appropriate receptacle locations.
• Prepares, mixes and dilutes cleaning solutions according to manufacturer directions.
• Washes floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions and windows using mops, detergents, brushes and other cleaning tools.
• Responsible for vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors. Shampoos carpets, using manual or mechanical equipment.
• Scrubs and cleans showers and all restrooms, including toilets, sinks and drains.
• Replaces light bulbs, and dusts or washes light fixtures and high places, such as ceilings, using ladders, other appropriate equipment, and tools.
• Performs basic and routine maintenance on mechanical and manual equipment used to perform the above tasks.
• Reports and recommends repairs and maintenance tasks requiring skilled trades work to supervisor.
• Utilizes electronic systems for receiving and tracking work orders.
• Oversee the distribution, collection and storage of building keys or other security system access rights.
• May provide training to lower-level cleaning staff.
• Assigns tasks; provides instructions and assistance; demonstrates proper cleaning procedures; reviews work in progress and upon completion to Cleaners.

Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and communicate orally and in writing to exchange information.

Additional Pay Information

The salary range for this position includes all applicable annual components of pay which are:

Base Pay Range from Hiring Rate $17.83 up to Job Rate $25.78.

Recruitment & Retention Pay: $3.37.
