As a Clinical Physician 2 at South Beach Psychiatric Center, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Your duties will include:
- Providing clinical consultation for individuals with complex medical diagnoses.
- Reviewing admission referral packets for medical clearance.
- Providing clinical supervision to lower-level physicians and other medical providers.
- Consulting with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Communicating with local hospitals when SBPC patients are in their care.
- Participating in discharge planning.
- Additional administrative duties as assigned.
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Clinical Physician 2 if they have
- NYS License and current registration to practice medicine; and
- 2 years of post-licensure medical experience
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
