Higher Education Business Analyst 2 (Project Assistant) Will Work With HESC Innovation And Transformation Team And Other Program Teams On An Array Of Duties Including But Not Limited To:
- Research and elicit requirements while adhering to established standards and utilizing all necessary deliverables.
- Conduct studies to analyze and evaluate all required “as-is” and “to-be” processes and flows needed for the new system.
- Document business process deficiencies requiring resolution during and after implementation.
- Work with vendor, agency staff and stakeholders to collect, analyze, define, and document business and functional requirements.
- Assist with business process analysis, business process re-engineering, and developing workflow processes.
- Create and maintain requirement traceability documents, use cases, business requirements documents, flowcharts, and process models.
- Work directly with Business Analysis and QA teams on defect identification, resolution, and testing.
- In Agile setting, participate in scrum meetings, prepare user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in quality reviews and deliverable acceptance, participate in functional and user acceptance testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven Years* Of Business Analysis Experience, Where At Least 50 Percent Or More Of Your Duties Included Experience In At Least Three Of The Five Knowledge Areas Below:
- Using recognized business analysis methodologies to elicit requirements from business users as the foundation for the solution to the organization’s business needs.
- Describing in a comprehensive written document (e.g., business case, fit-gap analysis document, or functional specification) what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirement(s).
- Using recognized business analysis methodologies (e.g., business process flows, fit-gap analyses, or functional designs) to design solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes.
- Documenting, communicating, and validating requirements throughout the system, process, or product/service development lifecycle for all changes to processes that would enable the organization to achieve its goals;
- Developing test scenarios, scripts, and data; reviewing test results; and assessing the implementation of appropriate solutions to ensure they perform to the required specifications and achieve the design capabilities.
- An Associate's Degree may substitute two year of the required experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree may substitute four years of the required experience.
- A Master's Degree may substitute five years of the required experience
