Labor Services Representative (Local Veterans' Employment Representative) will conduct outreach to businesses and engage in advocacy efforts with hiring executives to increase employment opportunities for veterans; encourage the hiring of disabled veterans, and generally assist veterans to gain and retain employment.
The duties assigned to LVER staff members will promote to businesses, business associations, and business groups the advantages of hiring veterans. LVER staff members will advocate for all veterans served by the Career Centers and ensure easier access to appropriate employment and training services for job seeking veterans in their local market areas.

Four years of experience* providing employment, reemployment, training and labor market services to job seekers, employers, unions, and other interested parties. These activities must include one of the following areas: conducting interviews to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining employment histories, identifying barriers to employment and developing solutions to such barriers, providing information about workforce development and training programs and related grants, or reviewing and evaluating workforce development and training services’ applications. In addition, meet one of the following criteria for Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces as noted below**

Five years of experience* providing employment, reemployment, training and labor market services to job seekers, employers, unions, and other interested parties. In addition, you must meet one of the following criteria for Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces:
