Position Information:
We are hiring three enthusiastic Office Assistants to join the team at the Great New York State Fair. These year-round, CSEA-represented positions offer a competitive pay rate of $17.35/hour, with part-time hours (October-March) transitioning to full-time 37.5 hours/week (Monday-Friday, April-September) at the Syracuse Fairgrounds. You will provide crucial, professional administrative support to the State Fair’s Agriculture Team, including data entry, credentialing, and inventory management. As a New York State employee, you could potentially qualify to participate in the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)! The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your direct loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under an accepted repayment plan and while working full-time for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets or another eligible employer.
Minimum Qualifications:

The preferred candidates will have strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism, and possess strong organizational and telephone skills.
