Physical Therapy Group in Westbury, NY is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapy Aide. If you are hardworking with a positive attitude and have an interest in Physical Therapy, this opportunity is for you!
Under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will be:
- Monitoring patients’ receiving therapies from the Physical Therapist
- Cleaning and organizing work areas and equipment after treatment.
- Observing patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to Physical Therapist.
- Instructing, motivating, safeguarding and assisting patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of Physical Therapist.
- Securing patients into or onto therapy equipment.
- Transporting patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
- Collaborating with Physical Therapist to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
- Recording treatment given and equipment used.
- Performing clerical duties, such as taking inventory, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms.
- Maintaining equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition
- Arranging treatment supplies to keep them in order.
Hours: Wednesday 7A-3P
Spanish Speaking Required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
