The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for delivering exceptional HR services across defined organizational unit(s) in alignment with organizational objectives. This role provides recommendations and assists in the development, interpretation and implementation of human resources policies and procedures to meet organizational needs. Utilizing knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Acts as a liaison with other HR functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supports clients in building a positive work environment reflective of the organization’s mission and values.
- Provides day-to-day coaching to managers on a wide-array of people-related issues and opportunities. Relies on HR knowledge and a general understanding of the business unit to provide solutions that address short-term needs.
- Partner with HRBP team to execute short-range initiatives in support of established business and regional HR goals. Participates in HR workgroups as requested.
- Applies knowledge of labor, federal, state and local laws in the resolution of complaints. Often resolves complaints/issues with support from the HRBP team.
- Responds to unemployment inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provides day-to day support in various areas including recruitment, employee engagement, and retention.
- Partners with hiring managers and TA Partners to ensure staffing strategies are meeting the desired SLA and quality. Supports TA in the development of a local talent sourcing strategy.
- Handles employee relations issue with support from HRBP team and collaborates with outside counsel to respond to litigation matters and immigration processing.
- Encourages across their assigned client teams' vision/mission of the organization into actionable plans and expected outcomes.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect across the organization.
- Participates as assigned in various committees, meetings, and orientations representing the Human Resources Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration or other related field is required.
- At least one year of experience working in a Human Resources capacity is required. Prior Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to build strong partnerships, learn the business and client group goals and objectives.
- Basic understanding of internal policies and processes. Can act independently to research ideas and solutions, while developing and presenting solutions aligned with client group dynamics.
- Effective and timely communication, in particular with sensitive information. Demonstrates empathy, understanding and patience in all communications.
- Ability to build rapport through active listening, clearly communicating ideas and seeking guidance from more experienced team members.
- Partners with more senior team members to participate in project management initiatives to develop skill level to manage tasks involving a team.
