Overview
New York or Nowhere is seeking a dynamic, savvy, and experienced Director of Partnerships to lead all external brand collaborations, partnerships, and other strategic alliances. This role reports directly to the CEO and operates at the intersection of creative, commerce, and culture. You will serve as NYON’s primary point-person for external stakeholders, as well as the internal lead for all major projects, ensuring flawless cross-functional execution across the board.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all brand partnerships and collaborations – from concept and execution through launch and post-mortem.
- Collaborate with leadership on high-level partnership strategy, including inbound vetting, outbound outreach, negotiation, contract alignment, and execution.
- Operate cross-functionally with the Content, Production, Logistics and Marketing teams to bring projects to life – ensuring that the brand’s creative vision, operational logistics, and marketing rollouts operate in lockstep.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including sports teams, media entities, cultural institutions, notable individuals, and like-minded brands.
- Oversee partnership calendars, timelines, and deliverables to ensure all campaigns are executed on time and to NYON’s brand and company standards.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities that enhance brand visibility, cultural impact, and business growth.
- Act as a strategic storyteller — translating NYON’s mission and voice into compelling partnership narratives that resonate with both local and global audiences.
- 5 years of experience in partnerships, brand management, or integrated marketing.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Deep understanding of brand building and cultural marketing, particularly within the New York landscape.
- Experience in sports, lifestyle, or entertainment preferred but not required.
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and brings both creative and operational rigor to their work.
