Job Overview
Correction Officer Trainees complete a 12-month training program before advancing to full Correction Officer status.
As part of the training program, trainees attend the Correctional Services Training Academy for a minimum 8-week formal training program.
Correction Officers play a critical role in maintaining safety, security, and order within New York State correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Correction Officers are responsible for:

Salary & Pay Incentives
Base Salary: $66,365 – $101,269 per year
Includes a $5,000 annual geographic pay differential
