Construction Quality Control

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Construction Quality Control (CQC) Manager for our upcoming wetlands project. This person will manage the project’s quality control program and verify that construction meets contract drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and applicable requirements. The CQC Manager will work closely with the project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, testing agencies, and owner’s representatives to plan inspections, resolve deficiencies, and maintain complete quality records. This role requires someone comfortable identifying nonconforming work, communicating requirements clearly, and following corrective actions through completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project’s Construction Quality Control Plan.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up quality control activities.
• Inspect field operations for compliance with contract requirements and approved procedures.
• Coordinate required inspections and testing, review results, and track outstanding items.
• Review submittals and materials for compliance with project quality requirements.
• Prepare daily QC reports and maintain inspection, testing, and deficiency records.
• Coordinate corrective actions with field teams and verify satisfactory completion.
• Support punchlist inspections, final acceptance, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in construction quality control on comparable civil, concrete, foundation, utility, or sitework projects.
• Experience managing a project QC program and coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and testing agencies.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and test reports.
• Strong documentation, communication, and follow-through.
• Experience working with owner or agency representatives to resolve quality issues.
• Education, experience, and certifications that satisfy the project’s contractual requirements.
