Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a School Psychologist located in Staten Island, NY. The School Psychologist will be responsible for assessing students’ psychological and educational needs, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' academic achievement and emotional well-being. Key duties include administering and interpreting psychological assessments, developing individualized education plans, and providing support for students dealing with mental health or behavioral challenges.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Psychology and Psychological Assessment, including administering and interpreting tests to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Strong understanding of evidence-based interventions and strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Certification or licensure in School Psychology as required by New York State
- Prior experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children is an advantage
