OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES

We facilitate academic enrichment, youth development, college access, and workforce development programs in 12 public school programs inManhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.
The Program Aide provides administrative and operational support to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of Mission Society's COMPASS Program. This position supports program management, data entry, communications, and daily coordination under the supervision of the Program Director.

Program Description:
New York City Mission Society's Afterschool and Summer Day Camp Program is dedicated to cultivating the personal growth and educational advancement of all elementary and middle school participants. With a curriculum focused on academic support, STEAM, literacy, social-emotional development, physical activity and healthy living, introduction to college and careers, and life skills development, the afterschool program reinforces
school-day learning in a safe and healthy environment. Programming is provided after school, on school holidays, and during the summer.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Program Director and Assistant Program Director to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with scheduling, communication, and coordination of afterschool activities and staff meetings.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and enter data into DYCD Connect and other agency databases.
- Prepare and organize participant and staff files, ensuring that documentation is complete and up to date.
- Serve as the front-line greeter for visitors, families, and program partners; provide information and assistance with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support daily program management, including coordination of supplies, materials, and activity setup.
- Assist with volunteer coordination and supervision as directed by the Program Director.
