You will manage and develop the NYC Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)—known as one of the most active and engaged volunteer emergency response corps in the entire country. What You'll Do:
- Strategic Curriculum Design: Conceptualize and deliver state-of-the-art training, workshops, and realistic simulation exercises to maintain the operational readiness of our amazing volunteer cadre.
- Leadership Development: Cultivate a culture of growth by creating mentorship programs and providing coaching to strengthen volunteer leadership across all five boroughs.
- Operational Impact: Serve a mission-critical coordination role during real-world Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, directly supporting the city's highest-priority operations (note: this includes working on-call hours during emergencies).
- Program Growth: Oversee logistics, manage special projects, and contribute to the sustainable expansion of the city's premier volunteer preparedness initiative.
