Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Manage POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate transactions and reporting
- Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations
- Control inventory levels, manage stock orders, and monitor food and supply costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile daily cash drawers
- Support kitchen management with food production, quality control, and safety compliance
- Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff and delegating tasks
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning for the restaurant or hospitality venue
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management, including casual dining, fine dining, catering, or banquet settings
- Strong leadership with supervisory experience in hospitality or restaurant management
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to train and develop staff effectively; experience with staff interviewing is a plus
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety regulations, and food handling procedures
- Experience managing shift operations within quick service or fast-food environments is desirable
- Leadership qualities including team management, training & development, and problem-solving skills
- Background in hospitality management or culinary experience preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
