Full-Time Cross-Trained Dental Assistant

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Full-Time Cross-Trained Dental Assistant to join our busy cosmetic and general dental practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. If you are adaptable, skilled in both dental assisting and front desk duties, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Dental Assisting:

• Four-handed dental assisting
• Taking digital X-rays
• Pouring up models
• Making and trimming temporary retainers, guards, or bleach trays
• Taking and loading photos with a professional camera
• Keeping operatory rooms stocked, neat, and in order
• Setting up operatories for upcoming procedures
• Proper sterilization of instruments
  
  

Front Desk Duties

• Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
• Confirm appointments and collect payments from patients
• Maintain patient records and update information as needed
• Assist with office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry
• Confirm cases with the laboratory
• Coordinate treatment plans
  
  

Qualifications

• Punctual and responsible
• Experience in a dental office setting is required
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in using dental software systems for scheduling
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
• Understanding of infection control protocols in a healthcare environment
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques
• Ability to take vital signs and X-rays
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with 3D scanner technology
• Knowledge of dental anatomy
