Specific qualifications:
- Outstanding leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to lead, manage and coach at team of 30 team members.
- Must be capable to successfully prioritize, delegate, organize and multi-task
- At least 2 years of previous experience as an Executive Chef or a successful, creative Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie
- At least 5 years’ progressive experience in a restaurant
- Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
- High-energy, motivational and positive personality.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Open availability
Responsibilities:
- Leader/ Coach of the NYBP BOH staff
- Ensuring outstanding food quality, presentation and consistency
- Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen
- Ensuring seamless kitchen service on a consistent basis
- Administrative functions such as inventory control, product ordering and culinary labor cost control
- Maintain a safe working environment through compliance of safety and health department guidelines
- Effective & efficient scheduling of BOH staff on a weekly basis
- Responsible for costing of menu items to ensure attainment of financial goals
- Interact positively with customers and act to resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction
- Consult with the Banquet Manager about food production aspects of private events
- Manage and lead the kitchen staff to inspire loyalty and deliver the highest performan
