Join our vibrant team as a Barista Cashier, Sandwich Maker, and Food Prep Specialist! In this dynamic role, you'll be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing delicious beverages, sandwiches, and food items. Whether taking orders at the register or crafting specialty drinks, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our customers have an outstanding experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, retail sales transactions, and beverage preparation within a fast-paced environment.

Candidate must have flexible schedule and must be available to work weekends. We will be hiring for the following shifts:

Mornings-Midafternoon : 5:30am-2:00pm, 8:00am-3:00pm and 10:00am-3:00pm

Position is part time with the option to grow into a full time role over time.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS system (point of sale).
• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, adhering to quality standards.
• Assemble and serve fresh sandwiches and food items ; all made to order, while maintaining food safety and handling protocols.
• Process cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring correct change and receipt issuance.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment through regular cleaning routines.
• Manage retail sales transactions with accuracy using POS systems; handle cash handling responsibilities diligently.
• Provide excellent customer service by serving with enthusiasm, answering questions about menu items, and assisting with beverage or food recommendations.
• Working as a team, being a team player and multitasking are all necessities .

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing sales and transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and performing retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods; flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
