Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs, including diagnostic evaluations and physiological considerations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on weight management, disease-specific nutrition (such as diabetes or cardiovascular health), and long-term wellness strategies
- Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition therapies such as tube feeding and dietary modifications for acute or chronic conditions
- Offer health coaching sessions to motivate and educate patients on nutrition best practices, lifestyle changes, and weight loss strategies
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns within the dietary department, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions, progress notes, and care plans accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital or long-term care settings to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care delivery
Skills
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proven experience in supervising dietary staff or interns within healthcare environments
