Duties
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other materials
- Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety harnesses in accordance with construction safety regulations
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install roofing materials
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support accurate installation processes
- Support the setup of scaffolding and framing for roofing projects while adhering to safety protocol standards
- Help with heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation components
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Requirements
- Prior construction or roofing experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to use ladders safely and confidently in outdoor work environments
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of safety harnesses
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques such as drywall installation or caulking is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints related to roofing or construction plans
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety protocol adherence and quality workmanship
