New Walk Church is simply an incredible church in an incredible location. We are located just north of Tampa and are about an hour from Clearwater Beach and from Walt Disney World. We are in a booming area with new people joining the community daily. Our church is passionate about reaching those far from God and goes to great lengths to see life change happen every weekend through our incredible services and every week through small groups and YTH programing. New Walk continues to see year over year growth of over 15% with a building expansion breaking ground in just a few short months. It truly is an incredible time to be a part of New Walk Church!

Alright, you’ve done a bit of the homework and are still interested? Great, let’s talk some specifics about this role.
This position is the lead over our entire Next Gen Ministry. You’ll be working to help us build out, develop, and scale for growth our Kids and Student Ministries under the banner of Next Gen. We know it’s a lot to manage, but you won’t be alone in this! We have a team of 5 support staff to assist you in bringing our vision to life for kids and teenagers each week.
On weekends you’ll be working to make sure every child has “the best hour of their week” in one of our Kids classes. Kids Ministry is offered at all four services and serves birth through Grade 5 utilizing the Orange Curriculum. New Walk is in an amazing season of growth with over 350 kids on average each weekend and we need a dynamic leader to help guide the team as we take this ministry to the next level. On Wednesday evenings you’ll be working to create a robust, healthy, and growing student ministry each week for teens throughout our area with Orange Curriculum as the foundation. With small groups, large group teaching, worship and more you will be making sure teens are learning in an age-appropriate environment as they grow in their faith.
We do need to make sure we cover a few of the basics on our end in terms of your qualifications too. We need someone with strong leadership and organizational skills to help direct this growing team and all the details involved in two large, vital ministries to our church. You’ll need to be able to move seamlessly from problem solving mode to teacher to parent liaison to recruiter all in one day. We are looking for someone with experience leading a growing kids and/or youth ministry, that can dream big and be creative, but also execute those dreams in a constantly moving church, and is ready for the next level of leadership and growth as a team member.
