Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and psychological testing to diagnose a wide range of mental health conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and other therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions across outpatient and inpatient settings, addressing issues such as trauma, addiction, PTSD, and behavioral health concerns.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts to support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and caregivers—to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Support telehealth therapy initiatives by delivering high-quality virtual mental health services that meet patient needs remotely.
Experience
- Proven experience working with adolescents, adults, and seniors in diverse settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or community programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in child & family counseling, school-based mental health services, geriatrics, and addiction counseling.
- Supervising experience with junior clinicians or interns is highly desirable to foster professional growth within the team.
- Strong background in crisis intervention techniques and managing trauma-related disorders across various populations.
- Familiarity with psychological assessments for diagnostic evaluation of neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder and other behavioral health conditions.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders to support their unique mental health needs.
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively while adhering to clinical ethical standards.
