Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love of learning from an early age. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving skills to ensure the safety and well-being of our youngest learners.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in infants.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address individual needs.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with specialists.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; infant care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Strong caregiving skills including diapering, feeding, and providing emotional support.
- Classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible environment.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with infants are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
