We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Hardware Technician to support DoD contract operations at our Panama City Beach, FL facility. This full-time position is responsible for the physical assembly, integration, cabling, and installation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IT hardware into fixed and tactical rack configurations in support of government programs. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, mission-focused, and capable of working within a structured, security-conscious environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Hardware Assembly and Rack Integration**
- Assemble and install COTS IT hardware including servers, switches, routers, patch panels, and other network components into fixed and tactical equipment racks
- Mount, secure, and dress equipment in accordance with engineering diagrams, rack elevation drawings, and program specifications
- Perform integration of IT systems into both standard data center racks and ruggedized tactical enclosures
- Ensure proper airflow, cable management, and physical security of installed equipment
- Fabricate, terminate, and test data cables including Cat V (Cat5e), Cat VI (Cat6), and fiber optic cables
- Perform copper cable terminations including RJ-45 connectors, punch-down blocks, and patch panel terminations
- Splice, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct cable testing and certification using industry-standard test equipment; document and resolve failures
- Route and dress data cables in accordance with engineering diagrams, wiring schematics, and applicable standards
- Connect cables to IT equipment per approved connection matrices and wiring documentation
- Maintain clean and organized cable management throughout rack systems and equipment enclosures
- Install cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, and other cable management hardware as required
- Label all data cables in accordance with program labeling standards and engineering documentation
- Maintain accurate as-built records, cable schedules, and installation logs
- Document discrepancies and deviations from engineering drawings and report to the lead technician or engineer
- Support configuration management and inventory tracking of installed hardware
- Perform work in compliance with applicable standards including ANSI/TIA-568, MIL-STD, and program-specific requirements
- Conduct self-inspection of completed work prior to engineering or quality review
- Follow all facility security procedures, access controls, and handling requirements for government-owned property
- Support inspections, audits, and government property walkthroughs as required
- Demonstrated experience building and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams, wiring schematics, rack elevation drawings, and connection matrices
- Proficiency with standard hand tools, cable testers, and fiber optic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced integration environment
- CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent technical certification
- BICSI Installer 1 or 2 certification (copper and/or fiber)
- Experience with tactical or ruggedized IT systems and military-grade equipment enclosures
- Familiarity with DoD IT programs, government roperty accountability, and configuration management processes
- Experience supporting DoD integration facilities, test ranges, or military installations
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, or other applicable military standards is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in non-climate-controlled environments as required
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods during installation activities
- Manual dexterity required for cable termination and fine hardware work
