Available Position – Long Term Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional
Location – Washington Learning Center, 910 14th Street North, New Ulm, Minnesota
Job Summary – Contribute to the academic and social growth of students by offering individual or small group support under the direction of certified staff. This position demands confidentiality, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adaptability, teamwork, and proficiency with technology. It may also require physical strength for heavy lifting tasks.
Qualifications
Days/Hours - Hours may vary slightly depending on student needs; generally, 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Compensation Package – Position Classification B-21 offers a starting wage of $17.94-$21.94 per hour, based on experience. No is not a benefit package with this position.

- A strong passion for working with young students to foster meaningful relationships and enhance their academic success
- Competence in following and implementing the classroom teacher’s and Special Education Case Manager’s directives
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Excellent communication abilities
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
