DESCRIPTION
PROJECT NAME: THE NIGHT OF BROKEN GLASS
SYNOPSIS: This WW2 era musical follows several people from different walks of life in the fictional city of Lansburg, Germany.
Our production is seeking two performers to originate and bring the roles of Marta and Oskar to life.
[MARTA] Character is female (cis, transgender, or nonbinary), Late teens-20s (but actor can be anywhere from late teens to 40s). A kind and genuine young woman who prefers to keep to herself, yet also longs to form connections and share her mind and talent with others. Born and raised in Rhineland to a Black, Senegalese father and a White, Jewish mother. A kind and genuine young woman who prefers to keep to herself, yet also longs to form connections and share her mind and talent with others. She is very close with her brother Oskar. Soprano.
[OSKAR] Character is male (cis, transgender, or nonbinary), 20s (but actor can be anywhere from late teens to 40s). Born and raised in Rhineland to a Black, Senegalese father and a White, Jewish mother. An incredibly selfless and loving individual. He is very close with, and protective of, his younger sister Marta. He is the perfect mix of a realist and a dreamer. Baritone.
Rehearsals will be held:
-September 19th, 2026 (Saturday) from 11:00AM to 5:00PM
-September 20th, 2026 (Sunday) from 12:00PM to 5:00PM
-September 26th, 2026 (Saturday) from 11:00AM to 5:00PM
